Pelham players practiced Friday to ready for the Xavier match.

The tackle rugby season starts Sunday with the U16 team taking on the JV squad from No. 4 ranked Xavier. The game will be played on the new Glover Field, a first for Pelham Rugby.

Show up for the game at 4:30 pm. There will be great rugby as the players on the expanded U16 team get the chance to show what they’re made of.

The U12 and U14 teams start their seasons next Sunday, April 6, when all three teams travel to face Rockaway.
